Recyke Y’Bike is a charity based in Newcastle upon Tyne and Chester le Street. They are passionate about sustainability and getting people on bikes and believe that bikes are great for getting people from A to B in a way that is affordable, environmentally friendly, healthy and fun.
Through their work redundant bikes are saved from landfill, unusable bikes are stripped for parts and as much as possible is salvaged.
The opening of the Chester-le-Street branch marks the start of a brand new avenue for us, and they would like to ride with as many friends, partners and collaborators as possible. It is hoped that the opening event will give the organisation the chance to start chatting about the needs and desires of the new community, and most of all, to celebrate together.
