Car Clubs

If you want to reduce car use but can’t give it up completely, why not join a car club? Being part of a car club takes a lot of the stress out of car ownership, as the club will make sure the car is always in safe working order, taxed, and with an up-to-date MOT. Depending on the size of the car club, when you need a car you may be able to choose between a variety of models so that you have the right car for the job.

Did you know, according to the RAC Foundation website, the average car currently spends 95%of the time sitting doing nothing, taking up space on our streets and driveways? If we could share car ownership we’d reduce the amount of cars that need to be manufactured, share the purchasing and upkeep costs, and free up all of the space currently covered in parked cars. With fewer parked cars on our roads there could be more space for safe cycle lanes, trees, green spaces, and wider footpaths.
