World Rainforest Day

June 22, 2023

  • « World Refill Day
  • International Day of the Tropic »
On World Rainforest Day we celebrate rainforests and their role in sustaining all life on Earth. These ecosystems, covering just 2 per cent of Earth’s surface, hold an immense power to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Standing rainforests are carbon sinks, absorbing and storing vast amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They play a vital role in regulating global climate patterns and preserving the delicate balance of our planet’s ecosystems.
