Thu 19 Sep 2024 - 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm Durham Climate Hub, at Northern Stores and Deli, Unit 36, High Street, Durham. DH1 3UL

Mick Marston, from the Derwent Valley Car Club, will be joined by David Malone and Steve Emsley as experienced electric vehicle (EV) car drivers, George Kinghorn from Kinghorn Electric Vehicles and Maggie Bosanquet, County-wide Net Zero Team Leader, Durham County Council (DCC) to discuss the potential for expanding the use of EVs and EV car clubs in County Durham, and the infrastructure needed to support this. The speakers will answer any questions you may have, such as: How do EV car clubs work? What are the pros and cons, environmentally and practically?  What are DCC’s plans for developing public charging points? If buying an electric car as an individual, what to look out for? How to facilitate kerbside home charging?

All welcome, no need to book. Come along early if you would like to buy refreshments in the Deli.
