Invitation to Community Growing and Food Network Meeting – Volunteering

Tue 22 Nov 2022 - 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm Online

The Community Growing and Food Network is an online network for community organisations in County Durham who run, or are interested in running, community food and growing project to come together to share experiences, connect with each other and discuss topics of interest. Their next session will focus on ‘Volunteering’.

They will welcome Bella Dreissen, Local Action Officer for Sustainable Food Places at Sustain, to talk about the Good to Grow network to get people involved in their local community gardens, how to join in and their great tool the Harvest-o-meter.

Volunteering Specialist, Charlotte Linton, will be showing demonstrating the County Durham Volunteering platform and giving some tips on recruiting volunteers.

There will be also an opportunity for discussion and networking with other organisations.

Attendance is free although booking in advance is required due to limited spaces, so secure your place by visiting The Durham Community Action website. Joining instructions will be provided prior to the meeting.
