Re-bugging the Planet, a talk with Vicki Hird

Mon 26 Sep 2022 - 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm Saint Philip & St. James Church High Street Witton le Wear DL14 0AX

Ever felt like the climate and nature emergency is too big to tackle? Maybe thinking small is the way to go

Vicki, a fellow of the Royal Entomological Society and Head of Sustainable Farming at Sustain, the Alliance for Better Food and Farming, is on a mission to help us understand more about the vital role insects play, why they are at risk and how we can appreciate and look after these crucial creatures in many different ways.

Her new book, ‘Re-bugging the Planet: The Remarkable Things that Insects (and Other Invertebrates) Do – And Why We Need to Love Them More’ shows how small changes will have a big impact on our littlest allies – and our planet.

So, if you are interested in creepy crawlies and want to learn more about how important their role is to our ecosystem and what you can do to help them thrive, register for the event now through Eventbrite.
