Food and Composting at home

Every aspect of our daily lives has some carbon factor and an effect on climate change, including food. Whether it be the way that food is produced, packaged, or distributed around the world, food systems contribute 21% to 37% of all global greenhouse gasses as well as contributing to deforestation, biodiversity loss and other factors. Although our food systems have a large impact on the planet and climate change, there are actions and changes we can make in our daily lives that can help reduce our own carbon footprint.

Visit our food and composting section for some useful information including composting, growing your own and sustainable tasty recipes.
