Are you part of a local voluntary or community organisation eager to make a positive impact on the environment but don’t know where to start?
Good news, there is a fantastic opportunity through the Become Green Together programme. This initiative is designed to equip voluntary and community groups with practical and accessible guidance on how to transform your workplace into an environmentally sustainable business.
As part of the programme your organisation will receive expert support from environmental consultants, guidance, and tools to track and reduce your carbon footprint, and heavily subsidised access to the Investors in the Environment framework.
Why is this important?
Sustainability is a growing necessity for all businesses, as we develop and grow into a green world it is important that all businesses, big or small, have access to information and resources to become more sustainable. Climate change is a global crisis, and it’s often the most vulnerable communities that bear the brunt of its effects. By making your organization more environmentally friendly, you can help protect these disadvantaged communities while also contributing to a greener future.
What does the Programme offer?
The Become Green Together programme provides a tailored environmental strategy with two key components: an Environmental Impact Assessment using a carbon footprint calculator to identify areas for improvement, and national recognition through Investors in the Environment accreditation, showcasing your commitment to sustainability to stakeholders and the wider community, all while meeting the environmental requirements for funders.
